Bree at Love Your Haiir Co. and I had such a great time documenting the opening of her salon in Olympia, Washington. After documenting the space, she invited me back to some Brand Photography of her working.

These are friends of Brees from working at her previous salon. I think it was the bride who woked at a station right next to her! It was great to see her community supporting her new endeavor solo. You know a hair and makeup artist is good when another hair artist hires her for their big day!

If you’ve been following The Studio long, you know Bree and I are very good friends. I first met her photographing my first wedding! I grabbed her information after learning she had done the full bridal party’s hair and makeup and we collaborated on my very first styled shoot that summer. She modeled and has been modeling for me, doing my hair, and acting as business BFF ever since!

Here is a segment from Bree’s Website to get to know her and her company a little better:

Love Your Haiir Co. is a local beauty studio in the Lacey Wa area offering all things hair & beauty. Owner Breanna Snelson offers not only exceptional hair and beauty services in her studio but is a mobile bridal stylist as well. Traveling throughout the pacific northwest offering updos, specialty hair styles & airbrush makeup to brides and bridal parties.

Since that very first wedding, Bree and I have worked together on 15-20 photoshoots/weddings. I can’t recommend her enough for your intimate wedding setting as she specializes in both bridal hair and makeup!

Thank you for having me back in the Love Your Haiir Co. Salon, Bree. Always happy to help document your company and celebrate your growth!

A little family Wellman Update dump. Morning! I’ve struggled coming back in to write lately. I abandoned my last post in tears over the current state of The Studio. My camera bag was stolen about a year ago. Everything I’ve photographed in 2024 has been on rented equipment. Being abandoned with the children with zero […]

Early October I got to experience an adventurous and romantic Swiss Autumn with my long distance partner. We traveled deep into the Swiss mountains, ate all the yummy food, met old friends, went to a dance party, made some new friends, enjoyed a private sauna with an impressive view, took naps, snuggled, and went on […]

We have to get a little creative here with our PNW Photojournalism. One of the first things you learn as a new natural light photographer is how incredible a big window can make any room look. A tiny corner in the most unassuming place, if sitting close to a window can produce the most magical […]

Tonight, I took the boys to the Everett Haunted Harbor community event! Everyone putting it on was so sweet and we all had a blast! Thank you to all the boat volunteers! We started with trick or treating at the boats, watching witches paddle board around the harbor, petting all the neighbor dogs, and watched […]
