Chinese Tea Ceremony

Jun

13

It’s time to share the wedding of Yingsu and Junfeng! We had many traditional Chinese traditions at this wedding including a Chinese Tea Ceremony at Yingsu’s extended family’s home. We took bridal party photos at a local park and the reception had the most fun details. Purple lights, TONS of traditional food coming course after course.

After a little while at the reception venue, I noticed little groups walking off. Across from the banquet hall, a family member of theirs owned a Boba shop just a few steps away! It was very cute to see the shop closed and family getting a little treat at the end of the evening.

The purple lighting and later in the evening red dress change made for fun work. We danced the night away and it was a beautiful big family wedding!

This is probably my third or fourth Chinese Tea Ceremony. Every time, it’s a little different! I love seeing how the long-standing tradition varies slightly from family to family. I can’t wait to be invited to document anther one!

Congratulations, Yingsu and Junfeng! Thank you for inviting The Studio to document your special day.

Enjoy these beautiful details!

Emily & Joe’s Seattle Ballroom Proposal was not an easy one to organize but worth EVERY effort. Oh, boy, did Joe give this his everything. Originally, We had planned on a hot air balloon proposal. He was going to propose as the balloon was inflated before they took off. However, the Seattle weather was not […]
