Michaella & Brennan’s Dumas Bay Centre Elopement was so far on the end of fall, I was stunned by how many leaves were still on the trees! We were blessed to have so much color this late in fall. It’s like the leaves held on just here, just for them!

Brennan is in the Navy so both of their closest friends and family flew in for the Ceremony and to celebrate with them.

For this intimate wedding ceremony, I almost stuck with one camera and one lens. I’m so happy I didn’t! Instead of a 24-70 I went with a 35mm and a 70-200. It added so much variety and was easy to switch between cameras. I’m also happy I had my 35mm for all of the big beautiful trees and landscape during portraits!

The rain cleared right before the ceremony. After the ceremony and family photos, we let the family go get warm in their cars and I worked with just Michaella and Brennan for their couples portraits. Just as we were wrapping up, the rain started to fall again as if it held off just for us!

This location was selected via google images by Michaella and it was so perfect! We just walked to the back of the gorgeous grounds, found a spot overlooking the water with no fence, and got married! She had selected this location especially because it had the gazebo in case it started to pour down!

It wasn’t until I started writing this blog post that I discovered the building we walked around for this, also acts as a wedding and event venue! I would love to shoot here again some day. Perfect grounds for a fall wedding! You can check their site out here: Dumas Bay Centre.

I’ve printed some of these portraits in The Studio and the colors are just breathtaking! Michaella’s dress was perfect, their chemistry was perfect, the Washington weather was perfect.

Thank you so much for choosing The Studio to document your intimate wedding/elopement, Michaella and Brennan! You were both such a joy to work with. Congratulations and good luck in your next duty station!!

We have to get a little creative here with our PNW Photojournalism. One of the first things you learn as a new natural light photographer is how incredible a big window can make any room look. A tiny corner in the most unassuming place, if sitting close to a window can produce the most magical […]

Tonight, I took the boys to the Everett Haunted Harbor community event! Everyone putting it on was so sweet and we all had a blast! Thank you to all the boat volunteers! We started with trick or treating at the boats, watching witches paddle board around the harbor, petting all the neighbor dogs, and watched […]

Hey, Mommas. Take a look at your babies now. Go ahead. Just take a quick peek. They grow. Today was a bit exhausting, wasn’t it? There were moments of things never being quite perfect. You tried your best and showed up in every way you could possibly think to and still, you fell short in […]

Might be time for a fresh “get to know me” Wedding Photographer post! I’ve been hubbing The Studio out of Everett, Wa since May 2024. I have done A LOT in my 33 years of life but growing this Photography Company has been on my top few favorites for the last NINE years! I’ve photographed […]
