This is an oldie but a goodie with these two coming up on the season of their one year wedding anniversary! I am still in love with these bridals at the Des Moines Marina!
I met with Dyanna & Jonathan at a Cutters Point in Olympia, Washington to go over their wedding day vision. I don’t remember much about our meeting, being so long ago now, but I do remember their calming presence and what a laugh we had over all the “Jonathan’s” that would be present.
Before the ceremony we had a first look with Dyanna’s Father and then with Jonathan. I just love first looks! They result an entirely new section of portraits with just you and your groom when otherwise there would just be your formal session for that. After first looks we met all of the family at a community center to take family portraits! Everyone stayed nearby and organizing them was easy as pie! The groomsmen were funny and the bridesmaids ready to have a great day! The sun was shining so brightly we all packed into the shade of a large tree that was consistently inching forward. It was funny dancing our portraits around the shade of the tree.
They had the most special chapel ceremony. There is something about communion done at weddings that always gets my eyes watering. It’s always such a tender and pure moment shared between a couple when I do church weddings and I always smile when I hear it’s a part of the ceremony.
After the ceremony we made our way to a golf club house! The decor was so bright and festive to kick off summer with this late Spring wedding! And the toasts—-ooooh the toasts. I was crying or cracking up the ENTIRE time!!! These guys are sentimental but oh so funny!!!! I just love toasts. They are always so revealing about my couple. ♥
When Dyanna & Jonathan returned from their honeymoon we met up for their formals on the Des Moines Marina! We had the most PERFECT sunset in rich pinks and blues. I would definitely photograph here again some day.
