When Albert called me about wedding photography he had found me on Google! There were two noisy toddlers at my feet the entire phone call and he still hired me. Now that’s a family man! Remitha was still in India. They were working hard to obtain her papers in time for the wedding. Just a month before the wedding, the process was delayed. Albert sent an email to all the wedding vendors. He explained that the date may need to change and he hoped we could transfer the retainers to another date if necessary. My heart hurt a little for them and we all held our breath waiting on word. Just two weeks before the wedding was scheduled we received good news! Remitha was scheduled to travel to the states just a few days before the big day! Two days before the wedding, we met at Salon Maison. Remitha was having her hair and makeup trial. We doubled up the appointment to use as her 30 Day Prior (now, two days prior!) timeline consult. Literally last minute, we figured out where family photos would fit in and when we would do couples photos. Whenever possible, I do whatever I can to meet my couples in person before the wedding! This always results in a more comfortable morning on the wedding day. We arrive on the same page, with a schedule, and ready to go!
I have to give a huge shout out to Salon Maison & Style Bar in Seattle. I have worked with their artists several times and was very impressed by my first visit to their commercial location. They did a wonderful job with Remitha (and her last minute time line!), have a beautiful studio, and wonderful staff. I look forward to recommending them more often to my Seattle Couples.
The ceremony was held at a small church 15-20 minutes from the reception location at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle. After the ceremony, Remitha had a dress change. I love when my brides pick two different looks! Doing so added so much variety to her final gallery. A couple days before the wedding I made my way to the Edgewater hotel to scout out potential photo locations. Their outdoor grounds are very limited but we made beautiful use of their walkway along the valet service! With the right angles, we avoided cars passing by and found beautiful details in the arbor and some greenery.
The reception included lots of singing, toasts, amazing food, and great company! After the reception, we went back to Albert’s (and now Remitha’s!) home for a candle ceremony. The bride and groom were met at the threshold with a candle for Remitha to walk to their home altar where they offered a prayer as husband and wife. They sat next to the altar and were served warm milk in cute tea cups. They exchanged gifts with family and enjoyed their evening cozied up with everyone visiting from India!

So much pressure was on Albert to get everything taken care of as they worked on getting Remitha home and he truly did an amazing job putting together a wonderful wedding team!
