You may remember Angel, James, Scott & Aria from their Monte Cristo Ballroom Wedding almost exactly one year ago June 2019! Aria was my youngest flower girl I’ve ever had! It was such a fun and beautiful day. You can see photos from their big day HERE.

After having such an amazing experience working with this family on their wedding, I was so excited when they contacted me for family Portraits at my studio in Milton, Washington!

One of the best parts about my job is when brides and grooms come back as Mom’s and Dad’s wanting to document their family’s growth or their growth as a couple!

It was so fun seeing how much Aria had grown and I think Scott was almost as tall as me, too! I loved seeing how much Scott and Aria’s relationship had developed in the last year. Scott is such a sweet big brother and it was clear this entire family is so in love with their little girl.

We started out in the studio so I can practice a little with the lights and environment. I think I get a little better every time! Then, we took a little walk on the nature trail that connects to my studio’s parking lot.

I had no clue the nature trail by my studio would prove to be so useful as a Portrait Photographer in Milton!! It is a small city and there aren’t a ton of photo locations. It seems I got one of the best ones right beside me every day! Check out previous times where I’ve photographed on this trail HERE and HERE. Portrait Sessions scheduled for my studio and trail are discounted for convenience reasons! Definitely reach out if you’re interested. 🙂

Thank you so much, Mcglynn Family, for inviting me to document your family photos this year!

Happy late birthday to Aria and almost one year wedding anniversary to James and Angel!!!

I hope to see you all again, soon!

A little family Wellman Update dump. Morning! I’ve struggled coming back in to write lately. I abandoned my last post in tears over the current state of The Studio. My camera bag was stolen about a year ago. Everything I’ve photographed in 2024 has been on rented equipment. Being abandoned with the children with zero […]

Early October I got to experience an adventurous and romantic Swiss Autumn with my long distance partner. We traveled deep into the Swiss mountains, ate all the yummy food, met old friends, went to a dance party, made some new friends, enjoyed a private sauna with an impressive view, took naps, snuggled, and went on […]

We have to get a little creative here with our PNW Photojournalism. One of the first things you learn as a new natural light photographer is how incredible a big window can make any room look. A tiny corner in the most unassuming place, if sitting close to a window can produce the most magical […]

Tonight, I took the boys to the Everett Haunted Harbor community event! Everyone putting it on was so sweet and we all had a blast! Thank you to all the boat volunteers! We started with trick or treating at the boats, watching witches paddle board around the harbor, petting all the neighbor dogs, and watched […]
