Novelty Hill Januk Winery

Ann & Peter were my very first winery wedding couple! I was so excited to shoot their wedding at the Novelty Hill Januk Winery in Woodinville, Washington.

The winery did an amazing job pouring wine for all of the guests and even gave a little wine tasting tutorial during the reception. They had a full staff working the kitchen and helping out. We never had to look far for a contact to help us with whatever we needed!

Ann and Peter are a military couple. They flew all the way up from Texas to be with Peter’s closest U.S. friends and family for the wedding. Ann’s Godparents were able to fly in from Hawaii! ♥

With a guide, we were aloud into the wine barrel room where all of the wine is stored during some waiting/aging process (I think). The room was high security and they watched us close. I love that they let the couple and photographer/videographer in there exclusively.

One of my favorite moments of the day was when the videographer (Will) had Ann read her vows aloud in the getting ready room for their video. It was so special getting a preview into what she had written and sitting in a quiet room while the audio caught her beautiful words.

I completely understand when couples go with traditional vows, but oh man. I’m a sucker for personal ones. ♥

Congratulations to Ann & Peter!!! Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. I loved the toasts and I’ll never forget the story of two little boys who met at a refugee camp and came together at the same elementary school in the U.S. What amazing friends, angels, and journey’s you have!

Cheers to a long love filled life! ♥ Sincerely, Jaclynn

Early October I got to experience an adventurous and romantic Swiss Autumn with my long distance partner. We traveled deep into the Swiss mountains, ate all the yummy food, met old friends, went to a dance party, made some new friends, enjoyed a private sauna with an impressive view, took naps, snuggled, and went on […]

We have to get a little creative here with our PNW Photojournalism. One of the first things you learn as a new natural light photographer is how incredible a big window can make any room look. A tiny corner in the most unassuming place, if sitting close to a window can produce the most magical […]

Tonight, I took the boys to the Everett Haunted Harbor community event! Everyone putting it on was so sweet and we all had a blast! Thank you to all the boat volunteers! We started with trick or treating at the boats, watching witches paddle board around the harbor, petting all the neighbor dogs, and watched […]

Hey, Mommas. Take a look at your babies now. Go ahead. Just take a quick peek. They grow. Today was a bit exhausting, wasn’t it? There were moments of things never being quite perfect. You tried your best and showed up in every way you could possibly think to and still, you fell short in […]
