This Seymour Conservatory Wedding with Reception at Shenanigans was a dream in the making and so meant to be!
Back in February or March I photographed bridals for Heidi and Michael at the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory in Tacoma, Washington. Check out that post HERE!
Many moons ago I photographed a wedding reception at C.I. Shenanigans.
It was so fun when Brooke and Joel reached out about their wedding plans and I was familiar with both their ceremony and reception locations! I love photographing repeat venues. You’d think after 100 weddings in the books I would have repeated wedding venues many times! NOPE. Not even close. I’ve repeated wedding venues just four or five times.
I first arrived at Shenanigans as Brooke and her sister were finishing final details in the reception room. It was dark and romantic. The colors were rich and beautiful. I love working in low light so this reception was a dream!
After finishing up details at the reception, I drove over to the Seymour Conservatory for the wedding ceremony! I saw Joel making final touches as the men put on their boutonnieres. Brooke’s Mom was busy setting up the welcome table and ceremony stand. Guests visited outside and inside as they admired the landscaping and unique plants.
Right at the entrance, a lemon lime tree had fruit the size of a child’s head! haha Everyone admired the tree and the orchids.
Right before the ceremony I accidentally stepped back into a big cactus! Joel and their officiant were so nice to help me pick it back up! Definitely one of my more embarrassing wedding day moments.
After the ceremony we finished family photos and took a quick moment for couple’s portraits. We found the perfect fall tree as my favorite back drop!
As the light faded we headed to the reception.
Brooke and Joel’s closest friends and family were all there. There was AMAZING food, beautiful toasts, and even better cake!
Thank you so much for working with The Studio, Brooke & Joel! I can’t wait to see your completed gallery soon! ♥
