We’ve done pretty well on our summer bucket list! Top of the kiddo to-do’s was a fire and smore’s. Not pictured: Pizza Sandwiches wrapped in foil. They weren’t a huge hit.
This was our last family day at Am’s house in Rockport before she moved. I’m happy we were able to make some cozy memories during this chapter of our lives.
Going to be honest, this has probably been the weirdest summer I’ve ever had as an adult. Every summer in the past defined by a family that doesn’t look the same anymore.
I feel new to life with fresh memories of the one before. Often unsure of what I trust or believe.
I know I love James and Leo. I know I love my friends and I trust them. I’m so grateful for my supportive circle in Amethyst and my sisters.
Typically, I’m dreading the turn from summer to fall. Usually, entering a state of solemn mourning rolling into September. This year, I’m feeling hopeful and free. Excited to get to know myself more as someone who is fully supported in exploring what I want out of this next chapter of life. We will see!
As I told Am yesterday, there’s always Spirit airlines and Vegas when it gets too cloudy. Probably take another trip late this fall/early winter.
James & Leo had a fun regular-kid summer for the first time in a few years. We only visited resorts a couple times and have enjoyed calming down a bit. We’re all very excited to start school again later this week!
