Des & Sidney’s winter wedding on December 22, 2018 was my last wedding of 2018! At first, I worried about shooting a wedding so close to Christmas but it ended up being exactly where I needed to be on that day.
We started the day in a suite at the Motif Hotel in Seattle.
This hotel was absolutely beautiful! My brides have been spoiling my creative vibes with all of these gorgeous getting ready hotels lately! Desireè had the most gorgeous view of Seattle and The Puget Sound while getting her hair and makeup done.
After hair and makeup, we headed to Occidental Park in Seattle. I didn’t even know this park existed! It’s this beautiful square filled with free community activities and boxed in by the cutest cafè’s and shops! It was the perfect city setting for winter wedding formals, family photos, and bridal party photos. Because the park is boxed in, it’s so easy to meet up with everyone without getting lost! I will definitely be recommending this location to Seattle Brides and city-esque portrait sessions in the future.
Toast With Sherrina was the wedding planner and day of coordinator!
She is a new wedding planner in the area and I was blown away by her work! Finding a wedding planner with this much talent out of the gate is a rare find. She currently custom builds packages for any budget. If you’re a bride without a wedding planner and think you can’t afford one, GIVE HER A CALL/EMAIL!!! Wedding planners and designers help your money go SO MUCH FURTHER on the big day! You can find her Instagram HERE.
Grace Fong did a beautiful job on hair and makeup!
All of the AMAZING florals
were don by BAHTOH. Their inspiring arbor was built by Des’s Dad and BAHTOH made the most luxurious finishing touches! You can find them on Instagram HERE. I would LOVE LOVE to work with their pieces again some day!
Paul Rios was their MC and he did a wonderful job! I just don’t have any media to link so if I get some, I will definitely come back and add it!
Element 79 is a Modern Seattle Venue
you would not even know existed if you didn’t know someone who knew about it! It is tucked away so discretely for an amazing intimate wedding experience. The guest count was about 75 for Des & Sidney which was perfect for this event space. These photos are very unique to my portfolio because of the white winter light for portraits and this dark dark event venue. Sporting large black walls, a gorgeous plank accent wall, modern light fixtures, and an array of modern-glam furniture; this venue is one I would love to shoot at again. Definitely check out their website for a moody indoor wedding venue HERE! Then CONTACT ME to cover it because holy gorgeous. 😉
Desireè and Sidney,
Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your intimate winter wedding! Your friends and family made me feel like a friend, too. I was so excited documenting all of the love and support that surrounded you. I couldn’t imagine a better place to be and there are memories from your big day that will follow me in my career forever! Best wishes to you two as you continue life in New York! Definitely reach out for anniversary photos next time you visit Seattle! ♥
