Brenna and Tristan eloped February 2021 at the Japanese Garden at Point Defiance park in Tacoma, Washington! When the snow came, we communicated daily to find the perfect window for safe driving and to still have snow in the photos. It was a while ago so my details may be hazy!
We arrived early to do some portraits and a first look with their pup. This sweet doggo was included in many photos to be well documented in his old age. I love when my couples include their dogs in photos. I know how deep pet love can run and they should be documented as family members when possible!
During photos, the snow picked up! We had so much snow. After a few couples portraits, family and friends hiked in from the parking lot to the Japanese Garden for a quick socially distanced ceremony.
Following the ceremony, guests played in the snow while Brenna and Tristan thanked their guests who joined via Facebook Live or Zoom. Then, we took a few more photos and popped champagne! They passed out custom wrapped local chocolate as a wedding favor. Perfect for Valentine’s Day!
It was a COLD but BEAUTIFUL day. I am grateful we don’t have snowy elopements all the time in Washington. However, it makes the rare occasion that much more challenging and fun!
Congratulations, Brenna & Tristan! Thank you for inviting The Studio to document your big day.
