So last Saturday, hu guys?! That was crazy. Almost everyone could reschedule for minis sessions for the following Saturday, thank goodness! Alicia’s family works on a unique schedule that requires them to work most Saturdays. They had taken the day off just for photos and everyone was dressed and ready to go. When I called we decided it would be best to forgo the “Mini Session” set up and just do photos at a park near them since they wouldn’t be able to make it any other Saturday.
I had previously done an extended family session with Alicia’s full family with her sister, brother, and parents. We had done them at Nisqually Wildlife Refuge so we knew it was a great mid-location already! (I no longer offer extended family sessions!) If you’ve been watching the blog a while, you know this is a go-to site for my Olympia couples! I especially love working here in the late fall/winter as the crowd of bird watchers thins out.
Thank you to Alicia and Michael for being so gracious over the last minute shoot location. I was devastated to have to reschedule everyone and am so happy we could meet in the middle when there weren’t many other options. The photos turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I do not pride myself in being a great family photographer as I typically reserve my education for weddings and couples. Working with mainly kiddos and families who have been behind my lens in the past DEFINITELY helps. I hope, as I continue to offer limited slots for these sessions, my previous couples and families will book them up so fast it’s like a reunion every year!
Thank you so much for bringing Delilah and Benson to work with me again. I can’t believe how TALL Benson has grown in just a year! It makes me nervous to watch my own boys grow so fast some day! I hope you all LOVE these images as much as I do and I can’t wait to see all the other families this Saturday! ♥
