Renton Fall Wedding

Paige and Unel’s Renton Fall Wedding is a major throwback for the studio back to 2016.

I’m working on going back through my current gallery platform to record my experience with every wedding I’ve photographed that went un-blogged.

Paige and Unel’s wedding was very memorable for my company. It was at the close of delivering this exact gallery that I decided weddings were it. They were the event/subject I wanted to pursue as my primary work.

Paige’s family lives in Australia with Unel’s family here in the states. They were so insanely supportive and loving to Paige all day as her family couldn’t make the trip. Right before Paige walked down the isle, so much of Unel’s family circled around her as she called her family to hear their voices before going to the ceremony. The men of Unel’s family told Paige’s family that she was fully supported and loved. They would all walk her down the isle and were her family that day. It was one of the most touching isle walks to date.

This wedding was before I introduced flash into my toolbox of skills. I did my best with natural light provided. I am still so proud of Paige and Unel’s formals on the lake. The light was perfect as they decided on a sunset ceremony with the perfect amount of light remaining for portraits. It was late October and the primary colors were blue and yellow creating the most stunning palette and backdrop for Paige and Unel.

I absolutely loved working with this family!

These photos made it into my current delivery platform because Paige’s computer crashed a couple months ago! Scared she had lost every back up of her images, she reached out to me on Instagram. I was able to un-archive the images from 2016 and send them to her within the week in both high resolution and web resolution format. There are allot of lessons I learned the hard way doing what I do. I’m so grateful having back ups to my back ups was not one of them!

Another public thank you to Paige, Unel, & The Hampton family! I’d do just about anything for you guys. ♥

A little family Wellman Update dump. Morning! I’ve struggled coming back in to write lately. I abandoned my last post in tears over the current state of The Studio. My camera bag was stolen about a year ago. Everything I’ve photographed in 2024 has been on rented equipment. Being abandoned with the children with zero […]

Early October I got to experience an adventurous and romantic Swiss Autumn with my long distance partner. We traveled deep into the Swiss mountains, ate all the yummy food, met old friends, went to a dance party, made some new friends, enjoyed a private sauna with an impressive view, took naps, snuggled, and went on […]

We have to get a little creative here with our PNW Photojournalism. One of the first things you learn as a new natural light photographer is how incredible a big window can make any room look. A tiny corner in the most unassuming place, if sitting close to a window can produce the most magical […]

Tonight, I took the boys to the Everett Haunted Harbor community event! Everyone putting it on was so sweet and we all had a blast! Thank you to all the boat volunteers! We started with trick or treating at the boats, watching witches paddle board around the harbor, petting all the neighbor dogs, and watched […]
