Sincerely The Seasons | Winter 2017

I am BLOWN AWAY at how many amazing vendors stepped up to be a part of our first official styled shoot under Sincerely The Seasons! I can not wait to watch this program grow and become the resource I have envisioned for photographer’s, small business owners, and hobbyists in Washington State.

If you haven’t already heard, Sincerely The Seasons is a quarterly styled shoot program designed with beginner to novice photographers in mind. With up and coming wedding vendors looking to spread the word and gain some pretty photos for their portfolios, we come together and create a stunning tablescape and a memorable, safe environment for our modeling couples and photographers. Our models will never be hired and likely never professionals. We photograph real couples with real chemistry and encourage them to celebrate in real time with us! We are always looking for couples looking to renew their vows, celebrate an anniversary or milestone, elope (with just a few extra photographers present!), or even a lucky guy looking to propose in a beautifully designed setting! Photographers are encouraged to practice with new gear, ask questions during portrait time, and share some awesome tips they’ve learned as well!

Our winter 2017 shoot was held at Wild Hearts Farm in Tacoma, Washington. This is a setting designed for photographers by the amazing Jodall Mattson and her family! Click on her link to see about renting her space, it is beautiful and provides so much variety! Jodall has been THE BEST host for SJP & Sincerely The Seasons! Our awesome models were Kristianna & Bryor McGee. Kristie wore a dress from the Show Me Your MuMu Bridesmaid Collection.  (Side note, I will SO be looking through Show Me Your MuMu for a dress for my family photos next month! So many pretty dresses!!!) Kristie has a friend, Kallie McDonald, who stepped in last minute to do makeup for our shoot and she nailed it!!! Makeup looked amazing + I’m a sucker for a flawless lash application.

A Moment In Time Floral Design created our two STUNNING winter bouquets. I had worked with Heidi before on Rianna & Jordan’s wedding (coming to the blog soon) and I can not rave enough about her arrangements! Cakes By Design Made our beautiful round white cutting cake with a deer antler topper I’m obsessed with as well as a large winter snowflake cake that brought our entire table together! Stephanie went above and beyond with two cakes and extra pine-cones for staging! The cake made for an amazing snack for the group as our shoot drew to an end and dessert for my family all week! Was it delicious? OFCOURSE!!! Stationary was hand designed by XO Lauren Pace with hand drawn calligraphy, water color, and silver foil accents. She is the ONLY wedding vendor I regularly recommend to brides who is non-local because she is fast meets quality meets beauty to-a-T EVERY SINGLE TIME I’ve worked with her. (Lots of times you guys). and she is so amazing and friendly to work with. She also created the brands for both Sincerely The Seasons and Sincerely Jaclynn. Macaroons were picked up at Ma Boulangerie in Federal Way, WA as a last second detail. Also, my favorite place to run in for a fancy treat! All serving dishes and champagne glasses were purchased at TJ Maxx!

Without further adieu, Here are the gorgeous spoils of our Sincerely The Seasons Winter 2017 Styled Shoot.

A little family Wellman Update dump. Morning! I’ve struggled coming back in to write lately. I abandoned my last post in tears over the current state of The Studio. My camera bag was stolen about a year ago. Everything I’ve photographed in 2024 has been on rented equipment. Being abandoned with the children with zero […]

Early October I got to experience an adventurous and romantic Swiss Autumn with my long distance partner. We traveled deep into the Swiss mountains, ate all the yummy food, met old friends, went to a dance party, made some new friends, enjoyed a private sauna with an impressive view, took naps, snuggled, and went on […]

We have to get a little creative here with our PNW Photojournalism. One of the first things you learn as a new natural light photographer is how incredible a big window can make any room look. A tiny corner in the most unassuming place, if sitting close to a window can produce the most magical […]

Tonight, I took the boys to the Everett Haunted Harbor community event! Everyone putting it on was so sweet and we all had a blast! Thank you to all the boat volunteers! We started with trick or treating at the boats, watching witches paddle board around the harbor, petting all the neighbor dogs, and watched […]
