Spring Olympia Mini Session

May

31

Welcome to the beginning of the 2019 Spring Olympia Mini Session Blog Post Series! These sessions took place at Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. We had several families come out and I can’t wait to highlight each fun and unique family. ♥

If you’ve been following the blog a while you’re familiar with Alex, Baby Deveaux, and her family! I’ve been their photographer for a while now and Deveaux’s birthday happens to fall near Spring Mini Sessions every year! It makes for a perfect milestone session each Birthday.

This year, Deveaux turns two! She has her own ideas of where to go and what to explore so I love following her around and capturing her doing what she likes to do!

Alex made their matching outfits! Deveaux’s dress had the cutest button back and ribbon details. Deveaux is a Quileute Baby of the Quinault Native Tribe. I absolutely love Alex’s pride for her ancestry and how often we’ve been able to represent it in her sessions!

Enjoy these sweet Mom & Me Photos and view links at the bottom to see other sessions with Alex’s family! (Especially her Winter Elopement or the Boho Mom and me Spring session from last year!)

We have to get a little creative here with our PNW Photojournalism. One of the first things you learn as a new natural light photographer is how incredible a big window can make any room look. A tiny corner in the most unassuming place, if sitting close to a window can produce the most magical […]

Tonight, I took the boys to the Everett Haunted Harbor community event! Everyone putting it on was so sweet and we all had a blast! Thank you to all the boat volunteers! We started with trick or treating at the boats, watching witches paddle board around the harbor, petting all the neighbor dogs, and watched […]

Hey, Mommas. Take a look at your babies now. Go ahead. Just take a quick peek. They grow. Today was a bit exhausting, wasn’t it? There were moments of things never being quite perfect. You tried your best and showed up in every way you could possibly think to and still, you fell short in […]
