Hi, there! Jumping in on a little “blogging every day for three months” challenge. James started a new goal to do an hour or so of coding learning every day so I told him he inspired me to do more of something I have wanted to do every day as well. I had actually already climbed into bed when I remembered I had promised I would jump on his challenge train. So, I guess I’m his accountability buddy and he’s mine. If it were just me I would have gone to sleep and “started tomorrow” but for him…had to pull out the laptop and write something up really quick.
A few weeks ago I took these beautiful fall portraits on a private family property. I had previously photographed Amy & Tyler’s wedding on the same property a few years ago! View their closest friends & family Backyard Fall Wedding HERE.
We reconnected to document their baby’s ONE YEAR portraits and update their family photos. Grandma & Grandpa were added onto the photos as well and we got the biggest smiles at just the right times.
Parents, never worry if your kiddo isn’t putting on their biggest grins for photos. I love how we capture so many natural expressions and aspects of who babies and little kids are during family photos. Even a grump face is an expression that will fade with age you won’t want to forget.
I always try and remember to pull just the parents out for a photo when I do family photos. If I’m ever working with you, please help me remember! This is always something I try to prioritize. I love documenting every dynamic within a family. Just the siblings, Just Mom & Dad, Just the kid(s) with just Mom or just Dad, just the sisters, just the brothers, etc.
