Seven Years Married | Personal Post

May

08

On this day, seven years ago, Clynn and I committed to be together forever. No matter what. Marrying Clynn was the best decision I could have possibly made at 20 years old. We grew into adults together. Screwed up together. Moved on together. Made babies together. Business ventures, ADventures, all the ventures.

Today, yesterday, and all this week has and will be a hard one for our family. We are experiencing a family loss. It’s hard to watch and feel so much as we wait for Clynn’s grandfather to pass. Clynn spent all night holding his grandmothers hand as we exchanged glances into what will inevitably be a version of our future in this life.

Spending our anniversary in such sad and difficult circumstances …. it’s terribly perfect. We are reminded to treasure each day as husband and wife so much more than if we were having dinner at a restaurant or hitting a movie. The thought even feels shallow today.

We are reminded of how short our time together is…..even though we’ve promised each other all we have from just about as young as is legal….

And perhaps we will be rejoined on the other side of existence. But the time spent apart will be….nothing I ever want.

I love this man more than life itself. I couldn’t be more blessed to have found someone so patient, so loyal, so smart working. I’ve never been understood so clearly by anyone ever.

Wondering about that “Seven Year Itch”??

Well….you won’t find it here. I’d say we went through that the first three years. We are a fine wine and only getting finer. 😉

“Once upon a time Clynn and I weren’t married.

Once upon a time we went to the grounds of where we were to be married knowing one day we would get married.

So Clynn picked me this flower, I dubbed it, “The Love Flower” and had him tie it to a tree for us to go back and find the day we got married.

well…This is it a couple months later! “

A little family Wellman Update dump. Morning! I’ve struggled coming back in to write lately. I abandoned my last post in tears over the current state of The Studio. My camera bag was stolen about a year ago. Everything I’ve photographed in 2024 has been on rented equipment. Being abandoned with the children with zero […]

Early October I got to experience an adventurous and romantic Swiss Autumn with my long distance partner. We traveled deep into the Swiss mountains, ate all the yummy food, met old friends, went to a dance party, made some new friends, enjoyed a private sauna with an impressive view, took naps, snuggled, and went on […]

We have to get a little creative here with our PNW Photojournalism. One of the first things you learn as a new natural light photographer is how incredible a big window can make any room look. A tiny corner in the most unassuming place, if sitting close to a window can produce the most magical […]

Tonight, I took the boys to the Everett Haunted Harbor community event! Everyone putting it on was so sweet and we all had a blast! Thank you to all the boat volunteers! We started with trick or treating at the boats, watching witches paddle board around the harbor, petting all the neighbor dogs, and watched […]
